Unity-Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion U3787
HBAO is a post processing image effect to use in order to add realism to your scenes. It helps accentuating small surface details and reproduce light attenuation due to occlusion.
Programmable Render Pipeline (SRP) compatibility
The Unity Programmable Render Pipeline (SRP) is a feature that allows you to control rendering through C# scripts. SRP is the underlying technology that supports the Universal Rendering Pipeline (URP) and the High Definition Rendering Pipeline (HDRP).

Horizon-based ambient occlusion (HBAO) is a post-processing image effect that adds a realistic effect to a scene. It helps highlight details on small surfaces and reproduces the light falloff after occlusion.
The AO provided by HBAO is more accurate than other SSAO solutions on the Asset Store without any performance penalty.
The algorithm is highly optimized to utilize minimal GPU time and provide the highest quality-to-performance ratio. This resource includes color bleed and temporal filtering capabilities. Gaia extension available.
compatibility:
• Standard rendering pipeline, forward and deferred
•Universal Rendering Pipeline 7.1.8+ (Unity 2019.3+)
• HD Rendering Pipeline 7.1.8+ (Unity 2019.3+)
These effects can be scaled to achieve appropriate performance. Source code is included in the resource bundle.

The scene for the video and screenshots comes from Unity Technologies, other screenshots were generated by Gaia using BackWoods Gaming’s terrain stamps, turboscalpeur’s grass and Kronnect’s volumetric fog are not included in this resource pack.
