The SALSA LipSync v2 suite has been completely rewritten to give character models more flexibility, greater perceptual precision and more advanced animation techniques. Mix and match blend shapes, transforms, sprites, textures, animator triggers, C# events, and more to create unlimited visemes and expressive expressions. Emoticon components can be reused within and between modules without conflicts. The kit consists of three product modules to simplify 2D/3D lip-sync, eye/head movement and expression projects:
SALSA lip sync
Simple Automated Lip Sync Approximation provides high-quality, language-independent lip-sync approximation for 2D and 3D characters. Our latest cutting-edge technology processes audio dialogue files in real-time, reducing or eliminating time delays. Both 2D and 3D audio configurations are handled very well. You don’t have to do a lot of phoneme mapping or baking to get satisfying results.
EmoteR
This random expression engine can be run alone, or in conjunction with SALSA and Eyes to generate random, focus timed, repetitive or manual expression animations. Connect with SALSA to add accented expressions with audio-based timing. Emotes can be prioritized to override other emotes, or can be seamlessly blended in and out with our latest sequence processing technology to manage your animations and override priorities.
Eye
This module focuses on eye, eyelid and head animation (and tracking). Make your character model look around randomly, or configure your character to focus on a target object, using advanced micro-movement features to reduce robotic stares. The vertical and horizontal eye movement can be controlled to make it more realistic. And, if your model supports it, enable the latest eyelid tracking for the ultimate in realistic animation.
The custom component inspector lets you configure options without code, and our simple API lets you make changes to your code in any of Unity’s supported programming languages.
